Since joining Dickens Real Estate in 2006 after the birth of our third son, I’ve had the opportunity to work across many areas of the business, beginning in the accounts and data entry department before moving through reception, property management and holiday rentals. Today, I’m proud to be co-owner of Dickens Real Estate alongside my husband Gerard, while continuing to play a hands-on role in the day-to-day operations of the business.

Prior to real estate, I worked as a qualified Chef and Catering Manager within the hospitality industry, managing large tourism based clubs throughout the Border region before eventually making the move to Bright and into the motel industry.

Over the years, I discovered my passion for working with people through reception and customer service roles, something that has naturally carried through into my career in real estate. With my full Real Estate licence, I enjoy supporting both our team and clients across all aspects of the business and helping create a positive experience for everyone we work with.

Community has always been a huge part of my life. I’m actively involved in several local committees, including the Bright Court House, United Bright Football Committee, the REIV Regional Committee and the REIV Board, where I represent regional Victoria and advocate for the unique challenges faced by regional communities, clients and small businesses. I was also proud to serve on the Community Led Bushfire Recovery Committee for the Alpine Shire.

To further support my volunteer and leadership roles, I completed the Women in Sport Leadership Roles program through Sport North East, along with the Governance Foundations course for Not-for-Profit Directors with the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

I feel incredibly lucky to live and work in Bright, and I’m passionate about giving back to the community that has given so much to our family. It’s something I hope to continue instilling in our children and through the work we do every day at Dickens Real Estate.
